The BA & AA |
The PECO Energy Company Beneficial Association, often referred to as the BA, was formed back in 1907 as a cooperative insurance program to manage employee contributions for the provision of disability and death benefits. Over the years, the trust fund has grown, corporate benefits have increased, and the purpose of the BA has evolved to providing benefits supporting the health and well being of its members. The BA is a non-profit corporation operated as a Voluntary Employee Beneficial Association (VEBA) as defined by the IRS. The employees of Exelon East companies are members with no requirement for contributions.
The BA provides subsidies for the following benefits:
· Athletic Association and its programs
· Health and Fitness Center program with numerous Company sites
· Employee Group Events, as in Company picnics, employee day out programs
The PECO Energy Company Athletic Association, known as the AA, utilizes over half of the BA’s annual budget. The AA provides the following benefits to its members of approximately 2,600 employees plus annuitants and courtesy family members.

The BA and AA are committed to providing high-quality benefits and activities to support the health and well being of its members. Many new programs and some previously successful activities have been implemented in recent years in response to input from members. New ideas, suggestions for improvement, and volunteers are very welcome and much appreciated.
