Let my staff and I cater your next affair. Hello, my name is Robert Casler, the new Clubhouse Manager here at McCall Golf & Country Club.
I have always had a passion for cooking from a young age. I started working at Melrose Country Club in Cheltenham, Pennsylvania, at 16 years old, while I attended Cardinal Dougherty High School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After high school I attended Temple University for two years while still learning the club business at Melrose.
After Temple University, I joined the management team at the Philadelphia Cricket Club in Chestnut Hill, Pennsylvania, becoming the Sous Chef at the main clubhouse and spending summers as the Executive Chef at the Flowertown location. In 1986 I returned to Melrose Country Club as the Executive Chef and Food & Beverage Director. Melrose was my home for 19 years until its sale in 2006.
While at Melrose understanding that you have a captive audience with the membership, planning new events and different theme parties was a challenge. I am looking forward to working with the membership here at McCall Golf & Country Club to get the membership involved in all types of special events.
I have been an active member of the Delaware Valley Chef’s Association since 1991. I reside in a neighborhood setting in Philadelphia with my wife Sharon of 23 years and my three children. Some of my hobbies include growing vegetables, bowling, and enjoy coaching my son’s baseball team at St. Williams School CYO.
Please stop by the Club and see me any time whether you need to book an affair or plan an event or just need a recipe or some tips on cooking. My door is always open and you can always reach me by email.
